The Linwood Recreation Board is appointed by the Mayor of Linwood. They meet every 3rd Wednesday, 7:00pm at City Hall, 400 Poplar Avenue, Linwood, NJ 08221

The purpose of the Linwood Recreation Board is to improve, coordinate and supervise public parks, playgrounds and athletic fields in the City of Linwood. We run community and recreational events for the benefit and enjoyment of Linwood residents. Some of the events include the Memorial Day Parade, Halloween Parade, Country Fair, Easter Egg Hunt, Middle School Essay Contest, Miss Linwood Contest, Citizen of the Year Presentation and the Christmas Tree Lighting at City Hall. The Linwood Recreation Board, on behalf of all current and future citizens of the City of Linwood, shall strive to permanently preserve, protect, and enhance parkland and recreational activities. We are fortunate to have many dedicated volunteers who donate their time for the betterment of Linwood residents.

Linwood is fortunate to have a wide variety of sports available to the children of Linwood.

Football, Cheerleading, Basketball, Street Hockey, Baseball, Softball and Soccer. All Wars Memorial Park is the location most events occur. There is a football field, baseball fields, basketball court, softball fields, soccer fields, and a hockey rink. Families may enjoy the playground located within the park.
